Stableford at Kingswood 13/12/09
I played a Stableford competition at Kingswood GC on the 13th of December. Pretty solid ballstriking round (14 Greens in Regulation) but too many putts and 3 wipes (holes where I didn't score a single point). Ended up with 36 Stableford points, but could have been much much better if I hadn't putted so poorly. Here are my stats for the round (please click on the images below for a larger view): Detailed Stats for the Round: Running Stats

I was told by my coach Steve Bann recently that there is more instructional material published/produced about golf than all other sports combined. I don’t find this hard to believe. Why? Because all that supply is only responding to demand, or desire, and what do most golfers desire? A quick fix that’ll have them playing the best golf of their lives this weekend. I was cleaning out the apartment recently and came across the mountain of golf books/magazines/dvds that I have accumulated over the years. There were the usual suspects: Hogan’s 5 Lessons, Bob Rotella’s golf psychology series, Dave Pelz’s short game ...
Hee Young Park shines at LPGA Tour Championship
South Korean LPGA star Hee Young Park has finished T-5th at the LPGA Tour Championship at the Houstonian Golf & Country Club in Houston, Texas. Park followed rounds of 70 and 72 with a sparkling 5 under par 67 in the final round of the weather-shortened event. She eventually finished 6 shots behind winner Anna Nordquist of Sweden. Park has been working with International Institute of Golf (IIG)co-director Steve Bann for some time. However, with Steve currently in Melbourne for the Australian summer tournaments, fellow IIG Coach John Thalassinos joined Hee Young in Houston to keep an eye on her technique. John ...
Percy, Tambellini secure PGA Tour Cards
Cameron Percy and Roger Tambellini have secured what millions of golfers around the world can only dream of- a gig on the PGA Tour next season. The pair were part of the top 25 players on the money list at season's end on the Nationwide Tour who gain promotion to "the big dance" next year. For Percy, who works with Darren Cole from Bann Lynch Golf, it is vindication of a decision he made in consultation with his family and support team: "Last year, my advisors and I thought about what would benefit me the most, Q-school or the Nationwide Tour. We decided ...
