Why Aren’t Golfers Improving?

We have a problem. Golfers are NOT improving.
Recent USGA stats show that the average handicap has dropped by less than 0.5 of a stroke in the last ten years.
This is in spite of all the technological advances, improvements in sports science, vast amount of golf instruction and so on.

Stableford at Kingswood 13/12/09

I played a Stableford competition at Kingswood GC on the 13th of December. Pretty solid ballstriking round (14 Greens in Regulation) but too many putts and 3 wipes (holes where I didn’t score a single point).
