Why Aren’t Golfers Improving?

We have a problem. Golfers are NOT improving.
Recent USGA stats show that the average handicap has dropped by less than 0.5 of a stroke in the last ten years.
This is in spite of all the technological advances, improvements in sports science, vast amount of golf instruction and so on.

I played a Stableford competition at Kingswood GC on the 13th of December. Pretty solid ballstriking round (14 Greens in Regulation) but too many putts and 3 wipes (holes where I didn’t score a single point). Ended up with 36 Stableford points, but could have been much much better if I hadn’t putted so poorly.
